Torino move in to rescue Bianchi from City nightmare

Torino have launched a £6m bid to rescue Rolando Bianchi from his Manchester City nightmare. The Italian club want to take the striker on loan for the rest of the season before wrapping up a permanent move in the summer.

Lazio are also closely monitoring the situation and could make a rival bid if their Serie A rivals fail to seal a deal.

Bianchi: Rare celebration

Bianchi's representatives have flown into England to discuss his future with Blues boss Sven Goran Eriksson.

And they expect to be given the green light to arrange a move for Bianchi back to his home country.

Bianchi cost the Blues £8.8m from Reggina in the summer but has scored just four Premiership goals and is no longer a first-choice starter at the club.
