Tottenham begin talks with midfield marauder Jenas over new long-term deal at the Lane

have opened talks with Jermaine Jenas over a two-year contract extension as they prepare to bring his England team-mate David Bentley to White Hart Lane.

Jenas, who joined from Newcastle three years ago, is set to be joined by Bentley before the end of the week as Spurs tie up a £17m deal with Blackburn.
