Forget a peaceful first season getting used to the pace of the Premier League - Tottenham keeper Heurelho Gomes has issued the club with an edict to win the title.
27-year-old Gomes, bought from PSV Eindhoven for £7.8million, will take over between the sticks following Paul Robinson's departure to Blackburn.
And the Brazilian insists he thinks 'as a champion', and hopes the club will follow suit to with their first league championship since 1961.
Gomes: Looking for Premier League glory in his first season at Spurs
'I am not thinking of just making it into the first four,' Gomes told Sky Sports News.
'I am thinking of winning, being first or second, in that range. Some people might say I am aiming very high, but that has always been my thinking.
'I think as a champion and I want to win,' he said.
