Tottenham line up Zaragoza striker Milito as replacement for Berbatov

Spurs could enter the race to sign £8million-rated Real Zaragoza striker Diego Milito.

The 29-year-old, who is also being linked with Everton and Manchester City, could prove to be the answer for coach Juande Ramos should Dimitar Berbatov quit White Hart Lane.

Milito has been added to Everton’s list of transfer targets as David Moyes steps up his search for more firepower.

The Everton manager, who is also considering a bid for Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher, believes Milito could be prised away from Real Zaragoza for less than the £8m asking price following their relegation from Spain’s top flight last season.

Argentine Milito is known for his excellent heading ability and scored 15 goals for Zaragoza last season.
