Croatia insist Luka Modric will face Germany even though he missed training yesterday due to a tendon injury.
The Tottenham midfielder, who scored a penalty in Sunday’s 1-0 win over Austria, picked up a knock in the Group B opener.
“Modric did not train because he has a strained right Achilles tendon but it’s nothing serious and he is exercising on his own,” said spokesman Davor Gavran.

Coach Slaven Bilic is likely to make some changes for Thursday’s clash with Germany.
Forward Ivan Rakitic is in line to make the starting line-up if Bilic reverts to a 4-3-2-1 formation with Ivica Olic as the lone striker.
“We have several alternative formations as options and Rakitic is a strong candidate to play a part against Germany,” said the Croatia boss.
