Turner's Earners: Storm Warning

I was impressed with the way the six-year-old charged home for third in a similar contest nine days ago and, if he gets the breaks at the right time, he is fancied to go two better.

Tuned up by Bell: Sandown hope Hoh Mike
Jamie Spencer is likely to try and employ similarly patient tactics as he did last time and there looks plenty of pace for him to run at with the likes of Willhewiz and Chinalea in the field.
Hopefully, the former champion jockey will unleash his mount a little earlier than last time to give trainer Conor Dore another sprint winner.
HOH MIKE (Sandown, 3.35) didn't quite hit the heights as a juvenile, but there have been recent signs that he is making up into a classy three-year-old sprinter.
A winning comeback at Ascot signified that Michael Bell's charge was over a couple of sub-standard runs at the end of his two-year-old season and he lost little in defeat at Haydock three weeks ago.
Although brushed aside by Prime Defender there, City of Tribes was back in third and there is every chance the race will prove solid form as the time was extremely swift.
Hoh Mike has run well twice with give in the ground so more rain should not hinder his chance. John Dunlop has his team in rude health and his VELVET HEIGHTS (Sandown, nb, 5.15) looks to have been targeted at the finale this afternoon.
The Arundel handler has had five winners in the past fortnight and the leniency of the handicapper in dropping his five-year-old 2lb for his reappearance has allowed him to run in today's lower grade.
This drop in class and a return to a venue that clearly suits the gelding should be enough to see him go close.
Seb Sanders is riding like a man possessed and he dashes from Bath to ride SOPHIE'S GIRL (Lingfield, 5.55) in the opener at the Surrey venue.
Peter Chapple-Hyam's filly looked a nice type when I saw her first hand at Nottingham and there was no disgrace in being beaten by a rival in Regal Step that is Royal Ascot bound.
Stall eight should allow Sanders to head to the near side rail, a move that has paid dividends in recent races at the track. Today's lay vote reluctantly goes to Binanti (Sandown, 2.25) as he has had only three places from 19 runs in Class 2 company.

Goodfellow's Sunday best ROBIN'S NAP: PRIME DEFENDER (Salisbury, 3.30) beat Hoh Mike in an extremely fast time at Haydock and is taken to follow up. He looks a bright prospect in the sprint division and, while both of his victories this term have been gained on fast ground, he won't be inconvenienced by an easier surface.
