Ballydoyle's domination of the Coventry and St James's Palace Stakes yesterday proved to be a peak for the Irish trainer who then agonisingly failed to complete a treble when George Washington was edged out in the Queen Anne Stakes.

Mighty: Manduro has shone in two races this term
In Dylan Thomas, O'Brien has another clear candidate for Group One success, but I have long been a fan of Andre Fabre and his raiding parties to these shores so his improving Manduro gains the nod.
Crucially, the five-year-old can handle any ground which is a handy asset given overnight rain is forecast at the Berkshire venue, but should the showers miss then he has top-class form on top of the ground too.
He has been mightily impressive in both his starts this term and has a smart turn of foot which he should put to good use today.
The Royal Hunt Cup appears as fiercely competitive as ever, but FLIPANDO (Royal Ascot, 4.20) has found the winning habit lately and can reward a modest investment.
Jamie Spencer rides this track well and his mount's draw in 19 enables him to track the likely pacesetters in Humungous and Zero Tolerance before hopefully delivering a challenge.
His mount's performance in the Zetland Gold Cup last time was a career best on my figures and both he and runner-up Wind Star are fancied to run big races.
Today's card looks the toughest of the week so it could pay for punters to be frugal, but TIA MIA (Royal Ascot, 4.55) strikes me as a classy filly and the fact she is bred to stay six furlongs will stand her in good stead in the Queen Mary Stakes.
Away from Ascot the best of the day appears to be MAC GILLE EOIN (Kempton, nap, 8.10) as he bids to continue his graduation as a sprinter.
I was astonished to see John Gallagher's charge win after a tardy start at Goodwood last time, showing a terrific change of gear to score with comfort.
Admittedly, he is 10lb higher, but such is his rate of improvement that I don't envisage it anchoring him. The lay vote goes to Caucasienne (Ripon, 8.50) as she has appeared none too keen of late.
