Turner's Weekend Earners - Super Senor is Ryan's Express

Kevin Ryan has carved a reputation as an excellent trainer of juveniles and SENOR MIRASOL (Newbury, 3.25) can enhance his fine record with success in today's Weatherbys Super Sprint.

The son of Deportivo has been kept fresh for this test after winning in style at Catterick last month.

Class snobs may question if form from that Yorkshire course is good enough to land one of the season's premier two-year-old events, but his cosy two-length defeat of Effort reads well as the runner- up went on to finish fourth in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot, suggesting the Catterick affair was well above average for the track.

The time was certainly highly respectable and horses drawn in single figures have fared well in the Super Sprint in recent seasons.

THAT LOOK (Market Rasen, nap, 3.10) has a great record on right-handed tracks and I'm hopeful he can gain compensation for missing out on a tilt at today's Toteswinger Summer Plate Chase by winning the preceding race.

Don Cantillon's charge has failed to make the cut for the valuable chase so attentions are turned to the staying handicap hurdle over a trip which the gelding has already proved is to his liking.

That Look enjoyed a winning pipe opener on the Flat at Doncaster nine days ago, but it is his superb form on right-handed tracks which catches the eye. Since undertaking his jumping career, the selection has recorded six wins from just seven starts that way round and two victories from two outings at today's venue stamp him as a decent bet if the ground at Market Rasen doesn't deteriorate.

Ripon has favoured front runners for a while so LATERLY (Ripon, nb, 4.00) could be a tough horse to peg back if afforded a cheap lead.

Tom Tate's gelding was unlucky to be overhauled close home at Haydock last time after making a bold bid from the front and I'm hopeful he can dominate his field today, especially as Micky Fenton rides the track well. Today's lay is Southern Regent (Market Rasen, 4.15).
