Delia Smith is ready to turn up the heat on the rest of the Championship by selling her majority stake in Norwich to ambitious wealthy fan Peter Cullum in a £55million deal that would transform the club’s prospects.
Cullum, a lifelong Norwich fan and one of the 50 richest men in Britain with an estimated £1.7billion fortune, plans to underwrite a strong promotion bid with an initial £20m transfer injection to help hoist Norwich back into the Premier League.

TV cook Delia plans to stay on the board, but her deal with the 57-year-old insurance magnate, who played centre-half for Norwich Boys, will give her the £20m that she and husband Michael Wynn-Jones have ploughed into the club since they took over in 1996.
