Tyson Fury and John McDermott must hold a rematch

The British Boxing Board of Control have ordered a rematch of the heavyweight contest between Tyson Fury and John McDermott.

Referee Terry O'Connor awarded this month's fight to Fury 98-92, despite most observers feeling his English counterpart had done enough for victory.

British boxing's governing body said the re-match will take place this year and added: "In everyone's view the contest was competitive and the outcome controversial. The board have allowed O'Connor to continue as a referee."
