Unhappy Gallas says sorry to Gunners

William Gallas has apologised to the Arsenal staff for his miserable attitude during his two months on the sidelines.

The club captain has not played since injuring his groin against Blackburn on 19 August.

"Sometimes I have been okay, but other times I have been very unhappy," said Gallas. "Because of that I know it might have been difficult for the rest of the group because I wasn't always smiling when I was in the dressing room.

"I have experienced it before. The first week or so you can deal with it, but three, four, five weeks later? It's hard to keep smiling. So I want to say sorry to all the players and all the staff."

Gallas returned to full training last Friday and says he is now fit for France's Euro 2008 qualifier against the Faroe Islands on Saturday.
