United and Spurs in running to sign Cameroon keeper Kameni from Espanyol

A number of clubs, including Manchester United, are in the running to sign Cameroon goalkeeper Carlos Kameni if he leaves Espanyol.

The player's representative Patrick Mboma confirmed Kameni was thinking about a potential move.

Possible target: Manchester United and Spurs are among the clubs interested in signing Espanyol keeper Carlos Kameni

"He's considering a change and there are four teams interested: Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United," Mboma was quoted as saying in Spanish media.

Kameni, 24, became the youngest footballer ever to win an Olympic gold medal in 2000, when he was just 16.

Following a frustrating spell at French side Le Havre AC he moved to Espanyol in 2004.

He has impressed many observers in his time at the club, with the highlight winning the Copa Del Rey in 2006.
