The Scot wants to complete his summer spending within the next fortnight with Manchester City defender Micah Richards, and Sevilla duo Luis Fabiano and Dani Alves top of his wanted list, according to the Daily Mirror.

Brazil striker Luis Fabiano, 27, scored an impressive 34 goals in 44 games for the Spanish side last season.

And his compatriot Dani Alves, a dead-ball specialist, is on many clubs' wish list after impressing with his raiding runs from right-back.

The pair would cost about £30m, while £20m would be needed to prise England defender Richards from Eastlands.

Striker Louis Saha and defenders Mikael Silvestre and Gerard Pique are set to leave Old Trafford.
