United's 1.5m tour bonus: Champions to play Portsmouth in Nigeria

Manchester United will pocket £1.5million for playing Portsmouth in Nigeria in July on the way home from their tour of South Africa.

Chief executive David Gill said: 'This isn't the "39th step" by stealth. It's an opportunity for us to allow our fans in Nigeria to see the team in the flesh and also enables us to reach new markets.'
