United's Saha fears racist taunts in Rome

Manchester United's striker Louis Saha fears racist abuse in tomorrow's Champions League tie against Roma in the Olympic Stadium. Saha said: 'You will see it on Wednesday, I think. We are travelling to Italy and in those kind of places it seems like they are used to it. They don't fight it like we have done in England.

"They are starting to recognise it and think about it, but not very strongly."

Discussing past experiences of racism, Saha added: "I've had many things thrown at me — but I've always been a very calm person."

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has not requested a personal hearing over his FA charge. He was sent to the stands by Mark Clattenburg after confronting the referee at half-time during the 1-0 defeat at Bolton last month.
