Valencia join the chase for Liverpool midfielder Sissoko

Valencia have launched a rival bid for Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko to try to stop him heading for Juventus.

Liverpool are willing to accept a £10million bid from the Italian giants for 22-year-old Sissoko.

But Valencia boss Ronald Koeman is trying to persuade Sissoko to return to his former club.

Koeman needs a ball-winning midfielder to replace the departing Manuel Fernandes, who is heading for Everton.
