Voges pulls out of Aussie tour to tie the knot

Adam Voges has turned down the chance to play for Australia in order to get married.

The 29-year-old middle-order bat, who has played a solitary one-dayer and three Twenty20s for the Aussies, asked whether he could fly home after the first game in South Africa and return before the third but was turned down by the selectors.

He said: "It's a big thing to give up an opportunity to play for Australia but I guess you only get married once and that's important to me and a decision I've made and one that I'm comfortable with."
