Warnock's pay-off for those ref rants

Controversial boss Neil Warnock could be paid for ranting about referees next season.

The former Sheffield United boss has been offered a year-long contract to be a pundit on Sky Sports, a move that will strike fear into the hearts of match officials everywhere.

Scroll down to read more:

Warnock, 58, who quit at Bramall Lane within 48 hours of the team being relegated from the Premiership, was beaten to the vacant Leicester City job by Martin Allen last week.

He is currently favourite to succeed Lawrie Sanchez as Northern Ireland manager but should be able to combine an international job with broadcasting work.

Sky Sports see Warnock's entertaining and outspoken manner as a perfect antidote to more cliched pundits.
