We have all the ingredients here already to cook up success at Tottenham, insists Poyet

Guy Poyet has revealed it has become swiftly apparent that there is plenty of quality in the Tottenham ranks.

The new assistant to Juande Ramos knows there is work to be done and that the squad needs to be improved but is confident the problems at White Hart Lane can be remedied so the team can move forward.

"You could see the quality of the squad here straight away," the former Spurs midfielder told the official club website.

"We have our opinions on what is missing and what we have to change around as soon as possible but the ingredients are there and that's the key.

"I know three or four of the players from my time here and that's also important. It will help because the relationship is different with players who you have played with. I can speak frankly with them and it's important for Juande to know what's going on.

"We're looking at the short term for the moment, the next six games or so, we need to win matches and then we'll be able to tell you what we're capable of."
