Wednesday turn down QPR bid for Spurr but Postma gets green light for Hoops

Queen's Park Rangers have failed to persuade Sheffield Wednesday to sell Tommy Spurr.

The Loftus Road club had made an offer in the region of £750,000 but Wednesday have made it clear they want to keep the highly-rated centre back.

Meanwhile the Dutch Football Association have given the green light to Stefan Postma's transfer to QPR.

The ADO Den Haag goalkeeper was reported to have agreed terms on an 18-month contract with the Championship side last week but the Dutch club refused to sanction the deal.

Postma's agent insisted the goalkeeper had a clause in his contract that allowed him to leave ADO if a club were willing to pay off the remainder of his contract.

The KNVB's arbitration committee ruled in the former Aston Villa and Wolves keeper's favour at a meeting today.
