Wenger: What about Old Trafford abuse?

Arsene Wenger has turned the security row with Sir Alex Ferguson back on to Manchester United by threatening to list the abuse he suffers at Old Trafford.

Arsenal manager Wenger has spoken out after Ferguson complained about a "lack of security" during the 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium 11 days ago.

Hitting back: Wenger

In an interview with Setanta Sports, Wenger said: "I was surprised that Alex Ferguson came out and said it was played in a bad spirit and a bad atmosphere.

"I didn't have that feeling. although I didn't sit on their bench. But I can tell you, I could get some dossier together from Manchester United when I go there."

Wenger has endured nasty terrace chants and taunts since his arrival in English football 11 years ago and his long-running public feud with Ferguson guarantees him a hostile reception at Old Trafford.

He made his point in response to criticism by the United boss. Ferguson, speaking after the Premier League clash, said: "There is a lack of security here.

"It is absolutely disgraceful the abuse you and your staff take. All sorts of things are shouted and screamed at you and there is an absolute danger here."

Arsenal are investigating the incident. One fan was evicted although witnesses claim the abuse started after one of Ferguson's security team wound up the crowd when United scored.
