Wenger's Theo vow

Arsene Wenger is confident Theo Walcott will sign a new long-term contract.

The 19-year-old forward, who joined for £12.5million from Southampton in 2006, is in talks about extending a contract that has 18 months to run.

"We will sort that out," said the manager. "We are in negotiations. He wants to stay and we want him to stay, so we should find an agreement."

Walcott had been in good form before he dislocated a shoulder while playing for England in Germany last November.

He is expected to return at the end of next month so misses tonight's game at Everton. However, William Gallas (hamstring) and Gael Clichy (ban) are available again for Arsenal.
