The club today rejected a £2.5million bid from Sunderland for the Republic of Ireland midfielder.
The Royals are keeping quiet over whether they have had any approaches for the 26-year-old, with director of football Nicky Hammond said: "We never quote on press speculation."
He added: "We've got no intention of selling any of our players in the January transfer window."
Hunt is believed to be Sunderland boss Roy Keane's number one transfer target, the combative midfielder having scored three times in his last five games.
Hunt revealed last week he was not certain where his future lay.
He said: "January is always the time for speculation, and you have to deal with it. You never know what's around the corner. Could something happen? I don't know.
"It's up to the clubs to get a bid accepted. But at the moment, I'm happy here. We'll see what happens."
