West Brom offer Carson escape route from returning to Liverpool

Premier League newboys West Brom have offered Scott Carson a loan move to escape his Liverpool nightmare.

The 22-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, is desperate to avoid returning to Anfield as no.2 to Pepe Reina.

Villa were put off by Liverpool's £6m valuation of Carson and manager Martin O'Neill is not keen on taking the England stopper back on loan again.

O'Neill reluctance has opened the door for West Brom with manager Tony Mowbray confident he can persuade Carson to come to the Hawthorns.
