West Ham have given the boot to hopes that they can keep Carlos Tevez, after kicking him out of his London apartment.

The Hammers are locked in a bitter fight over Tevez joining Manchester United in another loan deal and insist the Argentina striker, loaned to them by businessman Kia Joorabchian, remains under contract until 2010.

They were prepared to pay £9million a season to keep him after leading them to Premiership safety last season, and were expecting him to return to pre-season training.

But the News Of The World reports that the 23-year-old has been evicted from his Canary Wharf penthouse and has had his personal belongings shipped out - moving in their new £6m signing Julien Faubert.

West Ham are desperate for compensation in Tevez's £38million loan move to Manchester United takes place.

Tevez has been angling for a big-money move since the season ended and at verious times he has been quoted as saying he would like to play for Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.

Try as they might, West Ham won't be able to keep Tevez, according to the The Daily Star, who say Manchester United have been given the go-ahead by FIFA and the Premier League to buy Tevez.

Meanwhile, Chelsea and Italy football legend Gianfranco Zola says David Beckham has blundered by moving to the United States.

"It has surprised me that Beckham has gone to America, because I though the had a lot more to say as a player in Europe," Zola told the Daily Star Sunday.

"I know the man, he is a nice man and I respect his decision, but it was a surprise to me because of his age."

The Daily Star Sunday also Liverpool have offered Manchester City £2million for star kid Michael Johnson.

City are expected to reject the bid for one of their most promising players, but Liverpool could be back and double the offer for the 19-year-old

Liverpool are set to unveil plans that will make their new stadium the biggest in British club football, according to the Sunday Mirror.

New owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett will submit a revised design to the local council this month for a 60,000 capacity ground which could eventually hold 80,000.

The proposed £250million stadium could dwarf Manchester United's Old Trafford, which has a capacity of 76,000.
