Sibierski joined from Newcastle last summer on a free transfer and still has a year of his contract to run.

Wigan let striker Julius Aghahowa join Turkish club Kayserispor and sent loan signing Marcus Bent back to Charlton last week.

Bruce is hoping the saving on wages will allow him to tie up a loan deal for Egyptian Amir Zaki. He is also interested in Reading's Dave Kitson.
