Wigan manager Bruce confident new boy Cattermole will play for England

Cattermole: A product of Middlesbrough's academy

boss Steve Bruce believes he has snared an England star of the future, following his £3.5million capture of Middlesbrough's Lee Cattermole.

Cattermole, 20, has already represented England at Under 21 level, and the midfielder penned a three-year deal at the JJB - much to Bruce's delight.

'I really think the sky’s the limit with Lee,' Bruce purred.

'If he dedicates himself to his sport and keeps learning, there’s no reason why he can’t progress to full international honours.

'He’s got everything going for him. He’s young, courageous and a tireless worker,' he told the Sun.
