WIMBLEDON DAY 5 - All the action as it happened from SW19
27 June 2008
1920: Ancic is now two sets to the good, winning the second set 6-4.
1847: Mario Ancic has taken the opening set 6-4 against David Ferrer.
1815: The top seed is out - Zheng wins the second set 6-4, ending Ana Ivanovic's hopes of winning this year's Wimbledon. Story of the day without a doubt.
1805: Zheng could be on her way to a notable victory here - she has broken serve in the second set and leads 4-3.
1750: Stand by for a potential big story folks - Ana Ivanovic loses the first set 6-1 against Jie Zheng.
1745: Serena romps to the second set, taking it 6-1 and booking her place in the fourth round.
Ana Ivanovic looks dejected in her match against Jie Zheng.
1715: Williams wins the tie-break.
1710: Williams and Mauresmo go into a first set tie-break.
1645: Hewitt wins a third set tie-break 7-2 and goes into the fourth round. The Australian can look forward to the weekend off - he started slowly in his first match but has steadily improved.
Serena Williams won the first set in a tie-break against Amelie Mauresmo
1620: Serena Williams and Amelie Mauresmo begin their match on centre Court - it should be a decent one this.
1605: Hewitt is now two sets up on Bolelli, winning the second 6-3.
1600: Federer wins the third set 6-1 and marches ominously into the fourth round. He has barely broken sweat in this tournament to date.
1543: Lleyton Hewiit is very much in control, winning the first set 6-1 and now leading 5-3 in the second. Federer has won the second set 6-3.
1515: Federer is already a set up - 6-3 and your typical 'routine victory' for the great man looks very much on the cards.
1505: Lleyton Hewitt, the 2002 champion, takes an early 4-1 lead against Simone Bolelli.
Roger Federer is aiming to reach the third round at Wimbledon
1450: Federer's serve is broken in the first game of the match, but the Swiss star soon recovers and breaks back in the opening set.
1430: Hooray - the rain has stopped and we are going to see some more tennis. Roger Federer strides on to Centre Court with Marc Gicquel.
1407: The rain briefly abated and there was some hope of play, but it's coming down harder now.
1357: Email us your thoughts - sport@dailymailonline.co.uk. Who do you fancy to win the tournament? Is this going to be the year Nadal ends Federer's domination?
1327: Hopefully this will only be a short shower and play will be under way soon. No sign of Sir Cliff yet.
1305: It's raining - the first delay at this year's Wimbledon.
The covers are pulled over number two court at Wimbledon
1255: Svetlana Kuznetsov has taken the opening set 6-2 against Barbora Zahlavova Strycova.
1235: Svetlana Kuznetsova and Barbora Zahlavova are on serve early in their match. There are a few spots of rain in the air, which reminds us how lucky we've been so far in the tournament. We haven't lost any play to the elements as yet.
1210: Feels a little bit like the morning after the night before - yesterday was a highly dramatic day, what with all those Brits and Sharapova crashing out. However there is still plenty to entertain us, with Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Ana Ivanovic and Lleyton Hewitt among those in action.
