WIMBLEDON DAY THREE - All the action from SW19
25 June 2008
21.20: Gicguel rounds off the singles play for the day, taking the fifth set 6-3 to finally dispose of Bozoljac.
21.14: There is one Men's singles match still taking place, with Frenchman Marc Giquel leading 5-2 in the final set of his encounter against Serbian Ilia Bozoljac.
21.04: Ferrer finishes off an impressive comeback to take the fourth set 6-2 and secure his place in the third round draw.
20.30: Ferrer wins the third set 6-4, to lead the match 2-1.
20.05: Number five seed David Ferrer dropped the first set against Russian Igor Andreev, but he has hit back to take the second set 6-3.
19.30: Messrs Ferrer and Andreev are battling it out on Court One, and Tomas Berdych is taking on Victor Hanescu on No2 court, but generally it's a doubles fest elsewhere. One of the lovely features of Wimbledon for me - a summers evening watching doubles. Happy memories.
18.45: Federer completes a straight sets win and already looks ominous in this tournament.
Roger Federer eased to victory against Robin Soderling
18.30: Marcos Baghdatis makes it through to the third round with a straight sets win against Thomas Johansson.
18.00: Roger Federer is hardly breaking sweat on Centre Court. He has taken the first two sets against Sweden's Robin Soderling 6-4 6-3.
17.15: Serena duly completes a 6-4 6-4 win and goes through to the third round.
17.00: Other news on this third day: Fifteenth seed Chile's Fernando Gonzalez is out, beaten in four sets by Italy's Simone Bolelli. In the women's singles former champion Amelie Mauresmo survived an early scare before beating Spain's Virginia Ruano Pascual 4-6 6-1 6-1
16.40: Elsewhere Serena Williams has taken the first set 6-4 against Poland's Urszula Radwanska.
16.35: Ivanovic finally breaks serve and clinches a 10-8 success in the final set. The crowd rightly give both players a standing ovation - Dechy looks devastated by defeat but she can be proud of her efforts.
16.28: Decy and Ivanovic are delighting the crowds with some cracking tennis - and you wouldn't like to predict the outcome. 8-8 in the final set now.
16.10: Dechy breaks back and the match is going to go the distance. They are tied at 6-6 in the decider.
15.45: Ivanovic breaks the Dechy serve and leads 4-2 in the deciding set.
15.40: Number five seed Elena Dementieva, of Russia, has to fight hard to see off Italian Maria Elena Camerin, emerging a 6-3 6-7 (7-9) 6-3 winner.
15.13: Russia's magnificent sporting year continues with Safin completing a marvellous win against third seed Djokovic. Safin hasn't played this well in a long long time. He wins in straight sets 6-4 7-6 6-2.
15.09: Ivanovic wins the second set tie-break to keep herself alive in the match.
Marat Safin celebrates winning against Novak Djokovic on Centre Court
14.54: Great tennis and drama on Court One. Ivanovic is staring down the barrel at defeat but shows admirable courage to save two match points. - although she gets a bit of luck on one of them when her volley hits the top of the net and trickles over. It's now 5-5 in the second set.
14.47: We're still hoping to get your thoughts on the tournament. Who do you think is destined for glory? And what are your favourite memories of yesteryear? Email sport@dailymailonline.co.uk
14.40: Djokovic is far from at his best, and Safin coasts to victory in the second set tie-break.

14.20: Dechy edges a first set tie-break to take the advantage against Ivanovic.
13.55: Safin is playing some lovely stuff on Centre Court and he takes the opening set 6-4.
13.32: Baltacha goes down to defeat, losing 6-2 7-5.
13.25: Ana Ivanovic is taking on Nathalie Dechy on Court One and she breaks serve early to lead 3-1.
13.15: Credit to Baltacha - she is showing real fight in the second set and the score is locked at 5-5.
13.02: Novak Djokovic makes his entrance on Centre Court to take on Marat Safin.
12.45: At the moment Zheng is proving too powerful for Baltacha and takes the first set 6-2.
12.35: Punters with Centre Court tickets for today have no reason to complain - Novak Djokovic, Svetlana Kuznetsova and Roger Federer will all grace the famous arena. And how much better does it look this year, even with the roof only partially built. It looked bare and frankly weird twelve months ago.
12.15: Another busy day at Wimbledon, with a host of the game's big names in action. Elena Baltacha's attempt to reach the third round is under way, but she hasn't had the best of starts. China's Zheng Jie has won the first three games.
Elena Baltacha is hoping to reach the third round of Wimbledon
