VENUS WINS 7-5, 6-4 TO CLAIM HER FIFTH WIMBLEDON TITLE

Venus wins the title, as Serena carelessly nets to go 15-30 down and Venus makes a lovely passing shot to give herself two championship points. A 100mph serve saves one but Serena goes wide in the next point and Venus is the champion.

Venus moves 30-15 up before Serena goes long after a lengthy rally and then wraps up the game with a 119mph ace.

What a game - 14 minujtes of drama. Serena initially forces two break points but Venus smashes superbly after a long rally to level up at deuce. Then Serena finally breaks at the seventh opportunity when Venus slips after making a return.

Venus goes 0-30 up and although Serena fights back to 30-30 she nets twice to hand her sister the opening set.

A fine service game from Venus at a crucial stage, with a couple of lovely winners. Pressure on Serena now.

Serena is in a spot of bother at 30-30, but serves an ace at just thr right time and goes on to level up the match.

Venus saves a break point with a splendid passig shot after a fine rally, and goes on to win the game and move ahead in the final for the first time.

This is developing into a really fine final, and Venus is right back in it. Serena serves her first double fault, and saves one break point before a wayward forehand gives Venus another chance. A fine return from the older sister forces Serena into a mistake and we're all square.

The Venus serve is improving as the match goes on and she holds to 30 with the help of some splendid groundstrokes.

The first challenge of the match - and it goes in Serena's favour as a shot is shown to catch the very edge of the tramline after it was called out. Some strong serving again from Serena and she keeps her advantage in this first set.

Serena has started magnificently here - for some reason Venus is standing inside the baseline to receive the first serve. The power of Serena's shots is proving too hot to handle at the moment.

What a start for Serena - she returns the Venus serve superbly and powers to the opening game.
14.00: The sisters make their entrance on to Centre Court.
13.45: Serena has won the previous two finals between the two.
13.30: The sun is shining and Centre Court is looking a picture. And it's an all Williams final - Serena against Venus.
