Wolves swoop for Bournemouth striker Sam Vokes for £250,000

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has made his first signing of the summer by bringing Bournemouth striker Sam Vokes to Molineux for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of £250,000.

It's a deal: Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has wasted no time in signing Sam Vokes from Bournemouth.

The 18-year-old, called into the full Wales squad for the first time on Monday for the friendlies against Iceland and Holland, scored 12 goals this season but could not prevent the Cherries from being relegated to League Two.
