World Cup fear as John Terry is rushed to hospital

The Chelsea centre-back was hurt while training at Cobham for Saturday's FA Cup Final against Portsmouth but is now likely to miss that match and is a doubt for England's bid for glory in South Africa.
The former England captain, who was yesterday named in Fabio Capello's 30-man provisional squad, was jumping to head the ball when he fell on his foot awkwardly. He grimaced and was immediately seen by training staff and taken straight to hospital, and now has a protective boot was put on.
A Chelsea official said: "It doesn't look good. It's too early to say, but this could put his World Cup at risk. It's been that kind of year for John Terry."
The 29-year-old lost the England captaincy earlier this year after revelations of an affair with lingerie model Vanessa Perroncel, the former girlfriend of ex-Blues team-mate Wayne Bridge.
The extent of the latest blow for Terry will be known after the results of a scan are revealed tomorrow. He has a record of playing through pain but will be forced to watch from the sidelines if he is revealed to have broken a bone.
A club statement said: "John Terry has today taken a knock in training and has gone to hospital for a precautionary scan on his right foot. He left the training ground walking freely in a protective boot, and we await the results which are expected tomorrow."
Capello has named five central defenders but both captain Rio Ferdinand and Tottenham's Ledley King have struggled with injuries this season.
Terry and Ferdinand are Capello's first-choice pairing to start against the United States in England's first group game on 12 June.
If Terry is ruled out then Tottenham's Michael Dawson will keep his place in the party despite having never played for England.
Capello is already without David Beckham, who ruptured an Achilles tendon, while Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry is struggling with an ankle problem.
England's preparations for their last two World Cup campaigns have been hit by injuries with Beckham breaking his metatarsal before the 2002 tournament and Wayne Rooney doing likewise four years ago.
