World's best ready to stop Lel's marathon mastery

Martin Lel may have to break his course record next year if he is to claim a fourth victory in the Flora London Marathon on 26 April.

Lel, 30, who set a time of 2hr 5min 15sec to win last year, will again face fellow Kenyan Sammy Wanjiru, the Olympic champion, and Morocco's Abderrahim Goumri.

And with another eight contenders who have run below 2hr 8min, it is arguably the strongest ever line-up for a big-city marathon.
