Zenit St Petersburg insist they are not in talks with any club regarding the transfer of playmaker Andrei Arshavin.
Weekend reports suggested the Russia star was on his way to either Chelsea or Arsenal but Zenit confirmed in a statement that no negotiations have taken place as yet.
The club also stated Spanish giants Barcelona are the only club to have made an official approach for the player.

Silence: The Russians insist no discussions about Arshavin are taking place
'FC Zenit informs everyone that, as of this moment, there are no negotiations about Andrei Arshavin's transfer to any club,' read a statement on Zenit's website.
'The only request about the possibility of the forward's transfer was the offer from Barcelona.
'Information in the media about Zenit's negotiations with Chelsea is not corresponding to the truth.'
Arshavin was in St Petersburg at the weekend but did not figure in his side's 5-1 thrashing of Tom Tomsk on Sunday.
Zenit coach Dick Advocaat has given the 27-year-old a break until September after he inspired Russia to the Euro 2008 semi-finals in Austria and Switzerland.
Arshavin told Sport Express: 'Dick Advocaat says my mind is occupied with other thoughts and therefore until the matter of my contract is resolved it is better to take a break from playing, and I agree with him on that.'
Arshavin added that he hopes his future will be decided 'within the next two weeks'.
