The best is yet to come, says Didier Zokora (left)
But he feels at home at White Hart Lane and is ready to make a big impact during his stay in N17.
"I'm feeling confident," said the Ivory Coast midfielder. "I've been here for eight months, I've settled, my family is here and the players and manager give me the confidence to go and play.
"It was difficult to start with but I have the confidence now and it's been easier because of the manager, the players and the fans.
"I want to give my best performances for the team. That makes it easier. The fans are the next player for the team and every game I want to progress and do well for them."
Zokora will have a key role to play for Tottenham in tonight's UEFA Cup quarter-final first leg in Seville.
But that should not be a worry for Spurs boss Martin Jol as his best performances this season have been in Europe.
Seville coach Juande Ramos has admitted the UEFA Cup champions will have to be at their best if they are to overcome Tottenham tonight.
He did not want to be paired with the inform Premiership club when the draw for the quarter-finals was made and believes the Spaniards will face a really tough time at White Hart Lane next week if they do not travel to London with a big advantage.
"Tottenham were one of the teams I was hoping to avoid," he revealed. "I saw them play at Chelsea in the FA Cup and even though they drew, they were 3-1 up in that game, and that's not easy to do at Stamford Bridge.
"The English teams create a great atmosphere in their stadiums and it will be difficult to play the return leg there. Therefore, it is very important we get a good result in the first leg."
Seville striker Freddie Kanoute has hit out at former boss Martin Jol's treatment of him towards the end of his time at Tottenham.
The Mali forward said he left north London because he felt he did not have the support of his manager during a time when he "faced a personal challenge".
Kanoute left White Hart Lane two years ago for a cut-price fee of £4.4 million but insists he has no regrets about moving on because he is now the leading scorer in La Liga with his new club.
"A difficult time arrived at Tottenham," he said. "I did not have many opportunities.
Initially, I spoke to Jol a lot about my situation but towards the end I did not receive much help. It was then I decided my time with Spurs was finished.
"I'm not looking for revenge, because sport is not a war. But if I score a goal it is logical to celebrate with my fans. My time with Tottenham has passed. I am having an incredible season and intend doing the same until the end."
