Adil recalled for Windies clash

England recalled Adil Rashid for their must-win World Twenty20 clash against West Indies at the Oval.

Having knocked out holders India on Sunday night, England headed into their final Super Eights contest knowing another win would send them into the semi-finals of the competition and they opted to bring in leg-spinner Rashid for the Group E decider in place of Hampshire all-rounder Dimitri Mascarenhas.

England captain Paul Collingwood then won the toss and opted to bat on the same ground on which they defeated Pakistan in the first stage of the tournament.

West Indies, meanwhile, made a late change with Fidel Edwards replaced by all-rounder Darren Sammy.
