Agarkar keeps alive India hopes

Having dismissed India for 212 despite losing the toss, England would have been marginal favourites even at an Old Trafford venue where 216 is the average score in the first innings of one-day internationals.
But any momentum gained was soon lost as Ajit Agarkar claim four early wickets to leave the hosts in trouble at 108 for five after 20 overs of their reply.
Their reply suffered a dismal start with Zaheer Khan knocking out Alastair Cook's middle stump with the fifth ball and was quickly followed by Matt Prior being caught at third man after getting a top-edge to Agarkar.
Preferred to seamer Munaf Patel, Agarkar justified his recall by also removing Ian Bell - man of the match in two out of the last three games - when he left a delivery which nipped back and hit his off-stump.
England appeared to have overcome that shaky start with Pual Collingwood helping to add 46 with Kevin Pietersen, who fell in the 15th over mis-timing an attempted pull off Agarkar.
The diminutive Indian seamer then claimed his fourth wicket of the innings in his next over when Andrew Flintoff pushed at a drive which he skewed to Yuvraj Singh at backward point.
Stuart Broad had earlier delivered a career-best bowling display to claim four for 51 to limit India's total despite battling half-centuries from Sachin Tendulkar (55) and Yuvraj Singh (71).
