The 34-year-old will become a free agent at the end of the season and, according to his representative, has made up his mind he wants to return to the Philips Stadion.

Lens told Sportweek magazine: "That transfer will go through. In fact all is done already."

He added: "Andre has made his choice - he only wants to go to PSV. And the club is willing to fulfil our wishes.

"We only need to speak about some minor details and put pen to paper. I expect everything will be done in May."

The Holland international played 192 games and scored 19 goals in his first spell with PSV, between 1997 and 2006, before moving to Ewood Park.
