Agent voices Grave concerns

Celtic midfielder Thomas Gravesen is finding the on-going rumours about his future disconcerting, according to his agent John Sivebaek.

The Dane signed from Real Madrid for £2million last summer but struggled to impress manager Gordon Strachan and found himself frozen out in the closing stages of the season.

And Sivebaek said: "It's never good to have so much speculation about your future in the media, but he can't do anything about it."

In addition to signing strikers Scott McDonald and Chris Killen in recent weeks, the Celtic boss captured highly-rated midfielder Scott Brown from Hibernian in a £4.4million deal which cast further doubt over Gravesen's future at Parkhead.

The 31-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Sheffield United and Sunderland and Sivebaek admits the constant speculation surrounding his future is unsettling Gravesen.

"Thomas has two years left on his contract and he would love to be at Celtic for that time but you never know in football.

"However, I have not heard anything about any bids, you would have to ask Celtic because the bids will go to them first."
