All Blacks call up de Malmanche

Waikato hooker Aled de Malmanche has been called up by New Zealand as cover for the injured Corey Flynn.

Flynn sustained a hamstring strain in training on Monday as the All Blacks began preparations for Saturday's clash with England at Twickenham.

New Zealand coach Graham Henry said: "We are hopeful that Corey will recover but, as we have time on our side, we have called in Aled. We will wait and see how Corey goes this week before making a final decision."

De Malmanche, 25, was on holiday in Bali when he received the call and will arrive in London on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, an X-ray has confirmed winger Ben Smith had not fractured his thumb.
