Ambitious Hull chasing Mason

Hull have revealed that they are in talks with Canterbury Bulldogs forward Willie Mason.

The controversial Mason has been granted a release from Canterbury after a season of internal wrangles with the club.

"Willie is a world-class player and I can reveal we have spoken to his agent," chief executive James Rule told the Hull Daily Mail. "That being said, for Willie to leave Australia is a long shot. However, we are a very ambitious club and are doing everything we can to sell Hull FC and the city of Hull to Willie."
