Ancic pulls out of French Open

The world number 16 from Croatia is recovering from a bout of mononucleosis - more commonly known as glandular fever - that has sidelined him for over two months.
The 23-year-old, a quarter-finalist at Roland Garros in last year, has not played since pulling out of February's hardcourt event in Marseille.
Ancic said in a statement: "I am obviously disappointed to miss the French Open.
"The grand slams are the big tournaments we aim to do well in.
"Having said that, on a more positive note, I had tests done earlier this week and everything came back 100% clean.
"The doctors have given me the green light to start training and practising again.
"I obviously will be very cautious and not rush back, but I am looking forward to getting back on the court."
Thailand's Paradorn Srichaphan and Nicolas Kiefer, of Germany, will also miss the tournament owing to wrist injuries.
Ancic's announcement comes just hours after Martina Hingis pulled out of the women's competition with a hip injury. She will be replaced in the draw by fellow Swiss Emmanuelle Gagliardi, and joins Evgenia Linetskaya (personal reasons) on the withdrawal list.
