Anderson impressed with McGilvray

Reigning Man of Steel Paul Wellens maintained his incredible scoring form with two more tries at Knowsley Road but Anderson was just as impressed by youngster Dean McGilvray.
Anderson said: "Dean held his hand up and did a solid job. Paul Wellens was an injury doubt all week after hurting his back - would you believe it - playing darts."
McGilvray had just played 80 minutes in the Under-21s curtain-raiser when he was told he would be playing again for the seniors after Francis Meli injured a groin muscle in the warm-up.
Andreson added: "It was a loose and scrappy game at times and a mixed bag from everyone on the field.
"Our kicking game was exceptionally poor and we made it hard for ourselves.
"They tested us but we defended well, although we were a little sloppy with the ball."
Matt Gidley also crossed twice for the champions while Leon Pryce and Ade Gardner claimed one apiece. Captain Paul Sculthorpe kicked five goals.
Wakefield's defeat was their eighth in succession but coach John Kear was pleased with the performance - and glad to see the back of Saints for another year.
The Wildcats led after an early try from new signing Sean Gleeson but their second did not come until Oliver Elima touched down late on.
