Australia take two

Australia's paceman Brett Lee and Mitchell Johnson claimed a wicket each against India but the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar series was heading for a draw by lunch on day five.

Lee picked up his second wicket of the innings by dismissing Rahul Dravid (11) cheaply within the first hour of the morning session, while Johnson dismissed Gautam Gambhir (36) just before lunch, although the left-arm pacer was lucky with his leg-before appeal.

India had extended their lead, already worth 36 on the first innings count, to 135 as they went into the interval at 99 for four.

Sachin Tendulkar was batting on 24 and VVS Laxman on six.

Dravid had looked good during his stay at the crease which was ended when Lee got him to drag one back onto his stumps. Dravid had gone down on one knee in an attempt to drive, but only managed an inside edge.

Gambhir had started off in fine fashion, clipping Lee to the square-leg boundary off the first delivery of the day. He later settled down to play a cautious innings, scrambling the singles and hitting the boundary off the loose ball.

He fell just two overs before the lunch interval, Dar upholding a shout for lbw. Replays, however, suggested the ball was going down leg.

Gambhir had cracked five boundaries in his 107-delivery vigil at the crease and had added 40 runs for the fourth wicket with Tendulkar.
