Barrett too hot to handle

The 29-year-old, who scored two tries in Wigan's 30-20 win at Hull in March, repeated the feat on the stroke of half-time to bring his side back into the game after the visitors had racked up a 16-2 lead - and Barrett's tries gave Wigan the confidence to run in five more second-half tries.
"We didn't handle him well at all," said Sharp. "He's a very good player and his tries took the wind out of our sail. They've some good guys around him but he's a smart player."
He added: "We showed some signs we were heading in the right direction and played some nice footie. But we fell away appreciably and that's not acceptable.
"They had a lot of possession in the middle of the match and that's where the damage was done. We're bitterly disappointed. It's up to us to roll our sleeves up and be a bit tougher than we were."
Wigan coach Brian Noble reflected: "Even at 16-2 down, I was pretty confident if we could cure a couple of things we would get back in the game.
"It's a huge lesson for our team in relation to looking after the ball. The two tries just before half-time gave us some momentum.
"Trent Barrett made a couple of mistakes in our half but he put it right by getting over the whitewash and I thought Iafeta Paleaaesina gave us a huge lift but the whole team deserves credit."
