The Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder was named in England head coach Steve McClaren's squad for Wednesday's friendly against their traditional rivals.
"The last time we played them at Wembley they beat us 1-0. So we want to return the favour and hopefully we can," Beckham said at a press conference in New York.
Beckham will fly to England on Sunday morning from New York having played for the Galaxy in their Major League Soccer clash against the Red Bulls at Giants Stadium on Saturday night.
"I'm honoured to be called into the England squad again," added Beckham.
"It's something that I've always taken seriously and will always take seriously until I stop playing for my country.
"Everybody knows that I want to play as many games as possible for England and that's why I'm travelling from New York and will travel from LA as well to go back to meet up with the team.
"We're looking forward to the game on Wednesday. It's a big game but I'm not sure any game against Germany at Wembley is a friendly.
"But we're looking forward to it because they're a great team with great players and great tradition."
