Bell gives Strauss ringing endorsement

Warwickshire batsman Bell has felt for Strauss over the past year as he has struggled to maintain the form which enabled him to claim seven centuries in his first 19 Test appearances. Strauss retains the support of both coach Peter Moores and his England team-mates - not least Bell, who has also gone through difficult times during his international career.
"I think we all know how good he is as a player so I don't think there is any worry on that side of things," said Bell. "He's working as hard as he ever has done so it's only a matter of time until those runs come back and he'll be flying again."
Many critics, including Geoff Boycott, believe Strauss should have been dropped for Friday's final Test, but Bell has no doubts that a score is just around the corner.
The 25-year-old went through a similar spell himself, including a run of only one century in 16 innings which was only broken last summer.
"It's not easy when things are not going your way," admitted Bell.
"Looking back to my situation, that's really when you need to keep believing in yourself and make sure you're doing the right things and practising right and he is doing all those things.
"Hopefully, it will in this game that he comes out and gets those runs that he's been working so hard for.
"He's a class player, we all want him in the team and there's no reason why he shouldn't be here - he's proven to everyone that he's a quality Test opener."
