The West Ham striker underwent surgery for a groin injury last Thursday at the same German practice visited by Michael Owen a week previously, and he was able to train with the rest of John Toshack's squad this morning.

He has now been passed fit to travel for the matches in Cyprus, on Saturday, and San Marino and has the blessing of his club to play in both matches.

It had been thought that he would be limited to the clash with San Marino next Wednesday.

Bellamy's availability will come as welcome news to Toshack who has already lost midfielder Jason Koumas (hip and thigh) and goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey (hip), while the other strikers in his squad have been lacking match practice with their clubs of late.
