Blades to know fate by end of month

The three-man panel finished hearing a challenge brought by the Blades against the Premier League tribunal, following the Carlos Tevez affair, and McCabe told reporters outside the central London venue where the hearing was held: "I'd like to thank the tribunal.
"It's been a very complicated case, and the panel are going away to review the evidence and submissions. We have been told to expect a decision by the end of the month, hopefully sooner."
Sheffield United - relegated from the Premier League last month - want the panel to order a fresh disciplinary hearing against West Ham over the Tevez affair.
The Blades claimed West Ham should have been docked points by an independent commission for including third-party agreements when they signed Tevez and fellow Argentinian Javier Mascherano last August, contrary to Premier League rules.
The three-man panel's main role was to see whether the correct disciplinary procedures were followed.
Retired High Court judge Sir Philip Otton chaired the arbitration tribunal hearing, with David Pannick QC representing the Blades and leading barrister Nicholas Randall.
McCabe continued: "All three parties had the opportunity to present their cases clearly to the panel and we look forward to the handing-down of the decision of the panel in due course.
"It would be inappropriate to comment further until a decision has been made."
