Blues appeal Lampard red card

Lampard was dismissed in the 60th minute by referee Mike Riley even though TV replays showed the Chelsea player got to the ball first ahead of Reds midfielder Xabi Alonso.
Lampard is due to serve a three-match ban after collecting his straight red but Chelsea are now hopeful the FA will overturn Riley's decision when they review the matter on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Chelsea full-back Jose Bosingwa has apologised for kicking Yossi Benayoun in the back in the closing stages of Sunday's game at Anfield.
Bosingwa was lucky to stay on the pitch after kicking Benayoun in the back as he tried to shield the ball near the corner flag in the closing stages.
But the Chelsea right-back now says he regrets the action which could yet be punished by the FA.
"I apologise for what I did and it was never my intention to hurt him," said Bosingwa. "I know it was wrong and I apologise.
"It's always frustrating to lose big games and especially in this way. It was important to get points and not let Man United go. That didn't happen, so we are upset, but now we have to think about the next game."
